Biography:
For 18 years, Sister Lynn Marie served in the education ministry as a teacher and principal in South Dakota and Minnesota. Sister served on the Presentation Sisters Leadership Council before becoming president of Presentation College, Aberdeen, SD. She became director of the Sioux Falls, SD diocesan tribunal in 1990 and again served the congregation on the Leadership Council from 1998-2002. She went on to serve as director of the Sioux Falls diocesan tribunal, and taught in the Marriage Preparation Program for the Sioux Falls region.
Currently Sister serves on the core team and teaches in the Avera Leaders in Ministry program, is a board member of two Avera health care centers, serves on the Avera Investment Committee, is a board member for the Prairie Hearts Guest House of the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, and board member for SD Voices for Peace. She facilitates a Presentation Cojourner group in Sioux Falls and for three years has represented the Presentation Sisters as a lobbyist in the SD legislature.
Over the years Sister Lynn Marie has served on numerous boards and committees including a United Way Board, the Diocesan Board of Education, the South Dakota Vocational Education Committee, the Catholic Health Association of the United States, Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, Aberdeen Hospice, Avera McKennan, Avera Queen of Peace, Avera Sacred Heart Hospitals and chaired the board of Avera Health.
