Women Religious Stand Together for Peace

The Presentation Sisters’ Justice Commission and the

Leadership Conference of Women Religious stand up against violence and promote peace.   

Statement from our Justice Commission:

We the Sisters  Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Aberdeen, denounce violence, and  racism in all its forms.  We seek for Peace in a conflicted world.

We plead that our country’s leaders dialogue and employ civil discourse to resolve conflicts.  We invite all to join us in prayer as we seek our hearts deepest desires for peace.  

Statement from The Leadership Conference of Women Religious:

In the wake of the tragedy in Charlottesville and the face of growing violent acts from the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazis and White Supremacist groups, LCWR is compelled to publicly condemn racism and to recommit ourselves to pray for our country and to continue to use our voice and energy to build God’s beloved community.
